One of my favorite summer spots in Brooklyn is Pier 6 and the Bark Beer Garden there. It’s got the best views, outdoor seating and amazing burgers all in one place!

One of my favorite places in New York is Brookyn Roasting Company. I go there once (sometimes twice) a day, and luckily for me it’s right across the street from work! They have new coffee roasts everyday and I love trying out their newest ones. They put a lot of care and love into roasting their beans, and it shows in the taste and quality. Definitely a must-stop for coffee lovers in BK.

Not only is it Friday, but it’s also National Doughnut Day. Rumor has it all of the major chains are giving out free doughnuts. Why are you still reading this? You should be on your way to the nearest Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts!

coffee unplugged
In one of my favorite posts ever on sfgirlbybay, Victoria rounded up quite a collection of coffee photographs. As a coffee fanatic I love seeing how other people take their coffee and what kind of brewing techniques they use.
A few months ago I gave up using my trusty Mr. Coffee in exchange for a french press, and have not looked back. Since then, I’ve also been exploring other coffee brewing methods that don’t require an outlet. Here’s a quick roundup of six things on my coffee making wishlist.
Note: if I ever get all of these items I will have to move to a bigger house to make room for a coffee bar!
