Scenes from my weekend.
Last night I experienced a rare moment when I realize I am a grown-up and I can do whatever I want. So, instead of heading home after babysitting my nieces like I had planned I headed to the Brooklyn Bridge and walked halfway across. I can’t think of a better ending to the first day of Spring.
Oh, and I took some photos!
Today’s CrossFit Games Open score still has me smiling. Three weeks left to go, follow along here.
Slowly learning to take a whole day off each week, it’s good for you! I try to have a entire day with no set plans (not even with friends). That doesn’t mean I don’t see my friends, it just means there is nothing on my calendar for a whole day each week. Just put a big X on your calendar for one day of each weekend, and if you are invited to something on that day, politely decline.

After watching First Position (it’s on netflix instant) this evening I just had to dig my old pointe shoes out from under my bed. (I might have worn them for the remainder of the movie.)
hail to the queen

Two weekends ago I participated in my first CrossFit competition, Hail to the Queen. To say it was difficult is a gross understatement, it included three insanely hard workouts spaced out by just a few hours. However, it was also incredibly exhilarating. It was great to spend a day with my favorite CrossFit ladies and then bond over tacos and margaritas after!
