I’ve noticed over the past month or so there are a few short phrases that I continuously repeat to myself. One of them is “Be On Time.” I know I just talked about this on my blog, but I repeat this to myself between 3 and 17 times every day. As I grow up I notice more and more the importance of being prompt.
When you show up on time, it shows
- that you are professional
- that you care
- that you are considerate
- that you value the time of others
Alternately, when you are constantly late it shows
- that you are a child
- that you don’t care
- that you don’t need or want this meeting / job / etc.
- that you don’t value the time of others
So, while, I’m not perfect and I still am late from time to time. 2014 is the year that I will be on time.
I’ll be sharing throughout the year more of these mantras that I consistently find myself repeating.
